Do you feel weird without the e-ring on?

Private_User804, on February 4, 2016 at 4:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 32

Today I realized that I felt wrong somehow...then realized I hadn't put my e-ring back on after washing the dishes. I've been engaged a month, and it already feels like I'm missing something crucial when I'm not wearing it! I've never worn a ring regularly, so it's verrrrry weird to me that the e-ring is second nature now.

How long did it take you guys? Or do you not really notice when it's not on, and am I a little crazy?

No I definitely notice. I take it off when I'm washing dogs at the shelter because they can get rowdy and I don't want anything to happen to it. But I'm constantly checking my pocket between dogs to make sure it's still there...

Y'all are adorable lol. I have had mine for over three years and sometimes I go a few days without wearing it. Not that its not second nature, it just gets annoying sometimes.

I have been wearing mine constantly since last February when he gave it to me. Last week, I left it at the jeweler to be resized... I felt so weird without it. They told me they would have it done by the weekend (3 days!) but luckily I got the call the very next day that it was ready.

I'm still getting used to wearing a ring - the only jewelry I wore before getting engaged were earrings so having something on my finger still feels weird to me.

I lost mine the NIGHT HE PROPOSED [facepalm]. We found it though! If I take it off it feels really weird and I panic a little because of that experience so it stays on at all times lol. I've had it for 5 months.

I take my e-ring and wedding band off all the time (cooking, cleaning, etc.). I don't even wear them when I go to sleep at night. There's been times in the morning that I forget to put them on and go to work then realize I'm not wearing them. It doesn't bother me at all if I don't wear them all the time.

You're not nuts! Smiley smile The only time I take mine off is to shower and when I'm at the gym, and my finger feels so naked. I wear gloves to wash dishes so it's pretty much always on other than those two instances.

I take mine off to shower, do dishes, work out and sleep. Otherwise it's always on. Like @Tania said, I feel naked without it on. FH gave me a promise ring 5 years ago that I've always worn on my right hand and even though we're engaged now I still feel crazy without that one on too lol.

I feel really weird without mine. When I was getting the diamond changed, I got a place holder ring ($10 ring), just so I wouldn't feel strange.

Not the e-ring, because I felt awkward wearing it all the time... I always feared I was going to damage it, or lose it.

However, I wear my wedding band all the time, even when I sleep, shower or cook. So on the rare occasion when I've taken it off, I feel like I'm missing half a finger, lol.

I only feel weird when I leave the house without it (even walking outside to take the trash out). I take it off as soon as I get home.

I haven't had mine on for a week because it's getting resized! I feel naked!

I very rarely take mine off except when cleaning. It does feel naked without it. Glad I'm not the only one.

I'm just not a ring person. I always forget to wear mines. Not that I don't won't to or that it's not special to me, I just honestly forget. FH always gives me the side eye about it lol
