Do you care about pockets in your wedding dress? If so, why?

I mean I would be thrilled if my dress had pockets, but I wouldn't have turned down my dream dress over it.

I completely forgot my dress has pockets until just now When I tried it on for the first time, I definitely liked it and the dressing room attendant said "Oh and this one has pockets" and I was SO excited lol. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me considering most dresses don't have them, but I was over the moon and kept spinning the dress with my hands in the pockets

Mine didn’t have them, but I would have LOVED pockets!! Why? Why not — Kleenex, lipstick, whatever....you’re going to moving around that day so much that you really won’t want to keep track of a purse. If you have that opportunity, I say yes, do it!!!!

View Quoted Comment I would just worry that it would leave an outline. Or bump. Wedding dress fabric is not super forgiving unless I suppose the pockets were closer to the inner layers instead of the outer layers.

No, it isn't why I got my dress. I'm sure I'll have my phone and my lip product/tissues in there like PP said. It didn't leave an outline or anything because it's under the whole skirt.

View Quoted Comment Most dresses with pockets are the flowier type though.....you generally won’t see them in sheath or mermaid dresses, so I don’t think that’s really an issue. (I mean, assuming you’re not going to go crazy and stash an entire purse-load of stuff in there. 🤣)

Wasn’t a priority for me, FH has pockets I can use! 😁

I’m super happy my dress came with pockets. I’ll put my phone, lipstick, and handkerchief in there.

I would have loved pockets and even considered adding them. But I love having pockets in general, I have strong feelings about the lack of pockets in women's clothing.

My dress doesn't have pockets, but I certainly wouldn't mind if it did.

I definitely wanted them but it wasn't a must have at all. Pockets in dresses in general are always super convenient aha.

However, I can see why someone would want to have them.

You can keep up with things that you might need without a 👜.

I've bought short dresses with pockets and while they are cute, I've literally never used the pockets.

Mine has pockets but it wasn’t because I needed pockets just an added bonus. I am planning to hold something from my mom who passed away in my pocket walking down the aisle.

My dress has pockets and it was not something on my list of wants. I still would have purchased the dress without the pockets, but it’s a big plus
knowing I can carry my phone or lipstick or something small on me.

I loooove pockets in dresses! Unfortunately, the dress I have doesn’t have pockets but that is by choice. I usually like pockets to hold my cell phone but since I’ll be getting married I chose to not have pockets so that my phone won’t be a distraction.

I get being thrilled about pockets but I have read of more than a few woman having a dress altered to add pockets or turning down a dress that doesn't for another that does. I just didnt know why it was so important to some but I get that it would be convenient but not important definitely.

I would love to find a dress with pockets! But it is not what I am centering my dress hunt around.
