do we need a cake-cutting song?

If so, can you please tell me why? I think we'd be fine just letting the DJ play whatever music.

We didn't choose a cake-cutting song. I know our DJ played something I'm sure, but I couldn't begin to tell you what it was. Nor could I tell you any other cake cutting song at any wedding I've attending.

Definitely not necessary. I personally always feel like it is getting out of control with people thinking they need to plan a song for every little thing.

The significance of the cake cutting ceremony is symbolic as the first task the newlyweds execute together. The groom will feed the bride her first bite and then the bride will feed the groom a bite. This tradition signifies the commitment of the bride and groom to provide for one another.

I don't want a cake cutting song. I just wanna eat the cake! I don't want an entrance song either. The only reception song I am choosing is our first dance song.
