Do we feed photographer, videographer, and officiant?

Are brides/grooms supposed to pay for meals for the photographer, videographer and officiant? If so, where do they sit? I have an exact number of people attending and all seats have been assigned. Do I get a separate table? Please help!

The only one that would probably need to be sitting near you is the photographer. Ours said that if we wanted pics of the reception, she had to have a seat next to the head table. We didn't hire reception coverage though, so I hope she had appetizers (I never made it to the appetizer table, was fixing my hair and eyelashes lol), and she left before supper was served.

The DJ had supper served at his DJ table, the DOC ate at his office (he had an office at the venue), and the JP and her husband were guests at the reception so they sat with our other guests.

If your only problem is where they'll sit, talk to your venue, I bet they'll be able to accommodate for them at a separate room.

Our venue charges the kid's meal rate for vendor meals. $12.95! I have offered meals to all my vendors although none have it in the contract as a requirement. I didn't think about where they will sit, that's a good question.

I know my DJ and photographer ate, but I honestly have no idea where they did it. At least I'm assuming they ate since I paid for a meal. (: i'm assuming that my venue coordinator figured that out with them.

We fed all our vendors except for our officiant as she left right after the ceremony, and sat them all together at one table.

I would offer all vendors present at the reception a meal even if they don't have it stipulated in the contract. Many caterers have a different price for vendor meals. Look into it.

Wow, I'm jealous of the great pricing you all have for your vendors! My venue only offers 10% for vendors, so it's still really pricey. Thankfully, I only have 2 photographers and 1 DJ to feed! My venue has a venue table for them to eat at.

Most of the time it is in the contract. check when you put in your deposits. Also a lot of the time the venue will tell you that they are considered a guest on the guest list. you shouldn't have them there for 5+ hours without feeding them. you want them to be happy and to do a good job. Also don't forget to tip Smiley smile

Our venue didn't have anything special for vendors, so that's not always an option. Since we only had a few vendors (officiant and his wife declined etc), we actually scattered our vendors amongst our guests.

@JPAP We're having a small wedding. Smiley laugh Only 65 people. Half of them are family and the rest are coworkers and friends. I verbally announced the date since we're having a short engagement. Everyone said they were attending. I created a draft of a seating chart. Just in case someone cancels, I have an 'waiting list' of people that I could still invite (they don't know when I'm getting married).

We aren't feeding the officiant but that was their choice. The DJ, photographer will be fed during dinner time. I am seating them at a table with guests kind of near the back but still able to see almost everything in case there is a good photo op.

We are feeding all of our vendor. Officiant and DJ are family and friends, so officiant is sitting with his family. Bartender will stay at the bar. I'll probably sit the photographers with the group, my photographer is such a sweetheart!
