Do I need ushers to hand out ceremony program?

I'd just have them on a stand or in a basket as they enter the sanctuary. Maybe next to the guestbook so they can pick them up after they sign?

Well, that's simple. Why didn't I think of that? I'm making things too complicated.

I've also seen groomsmen do this!

As a wedding coordinator I know it's super cute but I wouldn't do a program... They end up getting thrown away... Have you thought of making just one big program to set out or a chalkboard? It's such a waste of resources time and money for it to get thrown out ..

I was thinking about this too, but I think ours will be placed on the table as guests pass by.

We aren't doing ushers at all. And not doing programs either

We didn't do handheld programs. We did a sign that had the info on it that was standing at the doors to the church. No ushers either.

That's what I am doing @Sarah. Church programs so people can respond to readings, etc.

I'm either doing a basket or having groomsman do it. Or seeing if the church has something I can use. I'm not designating ushers.
