Do i Need Partial Wedding Planning?

Michelle, on October 14, 2019 at 8:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
I am in the very preliminary stages of planning a backyard wedding at my home. We just decided a week ago, and we're planning for May 2, 2020!

We'd definitely like a DOC, because we are planning to turn over our ceremony space during cocktail hour so we can use it for our reception, and we need help making sure it all goes smoothly. We're thinking 35-50 guests, so this should be doable.

My FH is more involved than average, and it's great! So, I don't need help picking colors or centerpieces. We may want some help figuring out how to best set-up our backyard, and what we might do to hide unsightly backyard stuff (like our pool pumps & heater area, dog run, etc.). We'd also appreciate input regarding a timeline. Also, I'd really love help sourcing vendors. Is that even something wedding planners do? I'm clueless!

I see partial wedding planning advertised on here. Would this be appropriate for our needs? What is usually included? Or is what we're looking for closer to full-service wedding planning?

You'd definitely get what you want with a partial service planner. Mine does all you mentioned. When talked to plannersz definitely ask them for a detailed list of what each service entails.

Hey Michelle!! Congratulations on your engagement! It’s so great to have you join us in the community!

Your backyard wedding sounds amazing! I love how intimate and personal it will be.

If you feel like you will need some additional input from a wedding planner, you can definitely look into the Partial Wedding planners in your area. By contacting some that you are interested in, you will be able to inquire what exactly is included in their partial planning package. They will likely be able to include DOC services into your package also.

Since you are having your wedding in your home, with such an intimate guest list, I would imagine that a partial planner will offer enough help with your planning.

If you want to get started looking into vendors that you might be interested in hiring, you can also look at different vendor categories on WeddingWire in your area!

Have you made any exciting decisions about your wedding yet?
