Do i need high quality tables and chairs?

My venue includes fold-able plastic chairs, as well as round 60" tables and high top tables. Should I just take advantage of this, or should I look into better chairs? I don't need anything too fancy but some wooden ones or maybe a fancier sweetheart table would be nice. I don't want to pay more than a few hundred though.

I'm just worried that the included chairs might not be very comfortable? I plan to get linens rented so not as worried about tables. Thanks!

I wouldn't waste money on other chairs unless you know for a fact that the ones provided are super uncomfortable.

Amber has a good point. Can you try the chairs beforehand? Generally resin/wood chairs have a little cushion and they're only about $2 each (in my area, anyway). If you're only having 50 guests or so, that falls within your budget.

I haven’t yet but am meeting with my planner today and hope to ask her for more guidance. I’m also thinking we might use the free chairs for ceremony and get fancier ones for the reception.

As a guest, the last thing I notice are the chairs! As long as I have a place to sit and a meal to eat, I'm good! I agree with the others, if they are super uncomfortable, I would at least get prices for other chairs! if they are fine, I would use the free ones and use that money elsewhere!
