D&D100315, on September 7, 2015 at 9:13 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

Yes. There will be people who bring you gifts.

You will have gifts. You probably should have a gift table.

Do I need to label it or just have an empty table?

I'd put an empty table next to it. I've never seen a labeled gift table. One one gift is there, its purpose becomes obvious.

Yeah, you do - otherwise people will just sit gifts on the floor and you don't want that. I didn't think people would bring any to ours, but they did. It doesn't need to be labeled or decorated or anything.

Yes you should! The venue we are looking at has a built in bar area so I'm going to use a section of that as my gift table.

I will probably put our card box and guest book thing on the same table and then if people leave gifts they can go on or under that table too. We are only having 60-75 people, so really not that many that it warrants its own table. Most will probably do cards.

You should have a gift table especially if you're registered somewhere. We had way more gifts than actually expected.

That card bin is so cute! Yes you will need a gift table too. People will be able to figure out what goes where pretty quickly

The card bin will have a banner. Thinking will make a tablecloth for the smaller table I have. None of our tablecloths match. They are all shades and patterns in Ivory brown and pink. We are going to do table visits and hand out these wool roses. I thought I could put my extra buckets on that table until I need them. Would that be obnoxious?

Haha I agree, a gift table seems awkward! I'm not expecting anyone to bring a gift. I've never carried a present to a wedding, just cash/card. I guess people do it?
