Do I have to wear make-up?!

I. Never. Wear. Make-up. If I wear anything it's just mascara and lipstick or lip gloss, and maybe MAYBE eye shadow. I look like a sad deer when I wear eyeliner. I've been looking back at photos for others' weddings where I have worn make-up and the ones where I was wearing foundation and everything...

I've been looking back at photos for others' weddings where I have worn make-up and the ones where I was wearing foundation and everything just do NOT look like me. My hair stylist/friend just got married and suggested I look into airbrush, but I'm afraid I'll look back at photos and think "WHO IS THAT?" Thoughts? Suggestions? Any other non-make-up wearers out there who can weigh in?

I have soooo many freckles. Like a face full. They never fade at all. My MUA promised me she won't cover them nor would she ever try to. Find someone you trust!

I usually only wear lipstick but do want a little more for the wedding. My plan is to ask one of my sisters to help with that.

There is minimal chance that a completely none make uped picture is every going to look remotely as good as a make up one.

That is 100% your choice. If you do not want to wear makeup, don't wear it!

If you don't like foundation, something light like a long-wear powder could be a really good option for you. It won't feel heavy or cakey but will still even your skintone out a bit for photos. That, some mascara, blush, and a little something on your lips and I think you'd be good to go and still feel like yourself!

I think you should do whatever makes you comfortable. You want to feel like yourself.

I'm having the same conundrum. I have plenty of imperfections and acne issues, but I also have the problem that all liquid foundation oxidizes (turns orange) on my skin (has to do with pH balance and chemical interaction). I wanted to have a MUA so I wouldn't have to worry about it, but I've yet to find one who knows what to do with my issues.. I feel like I'll look bad one way or the other, but at least I wouldn't be orange if I didn't wear anything!

I feel like natural makeup is a good way to go for those who don't normally wear it. A good MUA can make you look like you don't have anything on, and will do what you ask for as far as heaviness and eye makeup.

Most men don’t wear makeup, yet still don’t look washed out in wedding photos.
