Do groomsmen need to be the same color as the groom?

My fiancé and I are starting the groomsmen convo. (Fan girl moment) my fiancé has beautiful blue eyes and I want him to wear a blue tux which he will also be able to buy and use for future occasions, but i dont know if the groomsmen have to match him or the bridesmaid. My girls are wearing burgundy and I feel like burgundy groomsmen looks too tacky. Any thoughts or suggestions? My color pallet is burgundy, navy and hints of gold and blush

No one has to match. Could you just put the groomsmen in navy if that's what your FH is wearing?

We were talking about this the other day too. My FH will be wearing a navy suit and we planned on having the groomsmen wear the same color. Their ties will be sage to match the girls dresses.

My colors are actually very similar. My ladies are wearing burgundy, my fiance is wearing navy (to match his eyes as well), and we are thinking dark gray for his groomsmen so he can kind of stand out.

Your color palette is pretty similar to mine 😊 my brides maids are wearing navy blue dresses. The groomsmen will probably wear grey pants and lighter colored shirts. I dont want my FH to look exactly like them. maybe he will be in a different color

I don't think they need to match! But I think all the groomsmen & groom in navy would be fine too. We differentiated the groom by him having a different tie & he wore a lapel pin.

The groomsmen and my FH will be wearing the same suit, but we are having them wear different color ties, FH is wearing a white tie and we're still searching for groomsmen ties, but they will be some kind of blue ties

No he doesn't need to match. My husband worn the same tux, but a different color tie, vest and pocket square. The best man worn the same color pocket square as my husband so he stood out as well. Personally, I like when the groomsmen's ties and vests match the bridesmaids dresses because it ties everything together. I have included photo inspiration.

No, groomsman don't have to match. My husband also has beautiful blue eyes so he wanted to wear a blue shirt. I let him and it looked fine with his groomsman wearing something very different from him. You can always have the groomsmen in traditional gray or black tuxes instead of burgundy.

We are only having one stand on either side so the Bestman will be wearing the same color suit, but a different shade of teal compared to the Groom. Bestman's tie will match Matron of Honor's dress.

I actually like the little differences that separate the Groom from the rest of the groomsmen! We had vests only and the two groomsmen were in burgandy (like my bridesmaid/flower girls) and my husband was in a gold vest! You can do little things like ties in different colors, vests, or even full suit/tux if you want! It's all up to you!

He wants to wear a cream colored tie. My bouquet will have blue flowers in it and he'll have a blue boutonniere so the cream tie will look really nice I think.

I would not have your groomsmen match your FH, you want him to stand out for the whole day. They don’t have to match your bridesmaid either. My FH is wearing grey and the groomsman are also wearing grey but a little bit lighter shade.

🤷🏾. I don't know that's a good question. My Husband wore White and royal blue so did my son and Best Man. The groomsmen wore Royal blue with Topaz orange ties and my ladies had on Royal Blue with Rhinestones.

I have the exact same color pallet. My girls are wearing gold, the guys are wearing all navy with burgundy ties (will match bouquets). My fiancé is wearing a navy jacket with black pants and the same color tie as the guys.
