Do groomsmen need to be the same color as the groom?

My fiancé and I are starting the groomsmen convo. (Fan girl moment) my fiancé has beautiful blue eyes and I want him to wear a blue tux which he will also be able to buy and use for future occasions, but i dont know if the groomsmen have to match him or the bridesmaid. My girls are wearing burgundy and I feel like burgundy groomsmen looks too tacky. Any thoughts or suggestions? My color pallet is burgundy, navy and hints of gold and blush

This was the color of my wedding! I had the guys in blue suits with burgundy vest and tie. My husband wore a blue suit with matching blue vest and tie. They all wore brown shoes. I thought it looked nice, obviously lol

No one has to match though. It’s up to you on what you think looks good.

My husband wore a navy blue suit too, with a gold tie. The groomsmen matched with navy pants and the same ties, but my husband was the only one wearing a suit jacket to make him stand out. I thought that was a good mix of matching and non-matching!
