Do all brides cry when they find their wedding dress?

Ieshia, on August 31, 2020 at 1:46 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 104
So I am second guessing the dress that I chose because I did NOT cry when I put it on. I think maybe I watched one too many episodes of ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ lol. I always cried with the brides on the show but didn’t when it was my turn. I love the dress I chose and I can’t wait to wear it but I just can’t help but wonder why I didn’t have that emotional moment. Perhaps what I see on tv is not what really happens in real life?

Nah, I cried a week later after it hit me when I picked it up. Picturing the day in the dress is what brought it on for me. I didn't have dress regret and didn't want to take it off when I was trying it on. I stayed in my budget of $400 and overall I was happy. I made it mine in alterations. It's okay to feel how you feel.

My husband was surprised it was a dress. I am tomboyish and said I looked beautiful on our wedding day.

Definitely did not cry! No one cried...my mom almost cried when I came out in a dress she loved and I hated...but that was it! Definitely not like on TV and that’s ok!

Haha no I didn’t cry when I found my dress - but I’m hoping my fiancé cries when he sees me walking down the aisle in it!

I'm the same way. I cry with the women on say yes to the dress lol. But I did not cry with my dress. I wondered if I chose wrong because I didn't have the that moment. But I ultimately chose my dress because it made me feel amazing so not crying was ok with me. My grandmother cried a little, although I kind of think it was forced lol.

I didn't have that emotional moment, I just absolutely loved the way the dress looked on me when I put it on the first time. I'll cry on a commercial before I cry at myself and the way I look (unless I'm poking myself in the eye with mascara... then the tears flow - LMAO...)

Nope, I didn’t cry either. For me, it was the complete opposite of an emotional moment -rather, it was a feeling of peace and calm. I wasn’t questioning in my head whether I liked it or if my mom & FH were going to like it, or hyper analyzing every detail about it... I just immediately felt confident that this was my dress and I didn’t need to try on any others.

I didn't cry when I found my dress. I first tried it on and then took a week to try on other dresses and consider my options. I knew it was my dress since my mind just kept coming back to it and comparing all the other dresses to it, so I went back to try it on one more time just to make sure, and then bought it.

I didn’t cry until my makeup trial. I’ve been a bit nervous tbh because I hadn’t had that reaction but just thought it’s not me...well evidently it is me and IDK if I’ll have it with my dresses at some point, or on the day of but at least it happened then and there.

I did not cry, but the dress did make me feel different when I tried it on... I just knew it was the one!

I didn’t cry! I’m really not one to cry in public so that could have been it, but I did feel that “something” when I tried it on. I just knew it was the dress for me! I feel like part of the time the crying is just made for TV to keep it dramatic!

I didn’t cry! But I definitely had that aha moment where I knew it was a perfect combination of things I liked in the other three dresses I had tried on.

I didn't cry! My aunt was with us and she said I kind of light up when I had my dress on.

I didn't cry either. Neither die anyone else in my group. We all knew it was "the one" and were excited, but there weren't any tears.

I did NOT cry. I wouldn’t call it emotional, I just knew it was the right one. I felt pretty and I was comfortable in it. It was perfect for me.

I didn’t cry either, but smiled really big. I wasn’t going to wear a veil but when my dress arrived I tried a veil with it then got misty-eyed.

No I didn't cry, but I didn't want to take it off. I kept staring at myself. It was absolutely perfect. I still put it on when my fiancé isn't around! That's how I know it's the one.

I wasn't planning on a veil either, but when they put it on - that did it!

Nope, no tears. This freaked me out BEFORE dress shopping because I had a feeling I wouldn't cry over a piece of clothing, so how would I ever know I found the one. Instead my face got red and got all smiley, and my mom, sister, and BM all agreed it was MY dress, despite all three of them having very different tastes, so I knew it was the one!
