Do all brides cry when they find their wedding dress?

Nope! I didn’t cry when I said “yes to the dress” and I’m still obsessed with my dress 🤍

I didn’t cry but I’m in love with my dress and couldn’t see myself in any other. My mom didn’t cry either but I’ve been so excited and keep looking at pictures of it from the day I tried it on

I personally did not cry, but I definitely got that feeling when I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror. I knew it was the one because I could not stop smiling in it and after I put it on a second time, I knew it was the dress that I was going to marry my fiance in. It's such a weird feeling to explain, but it totally does happen!

I haven't found my dress yet and I am struggling to figure out why I cannot decide on a dress.

My sister didn't cry when she found her dress. Meanwhile, I started balling before I even had my dress on all the way. I don't think there's an issue with either response. Everyone has different feelings when they find their dress. I think I cried when I put mine on because it was the first time I actually saw myself as a bride.

Lmaoo nope! I'm a huge cry baby. I did not cry at all when FH proposed or when I chose my dress. I did get really giggly lol

I bawled my eyes out. Myself and everyone else knew then that it was the one.

I did not expect myself to cry. I think I was crying because I was so happy that I looked good in the dress I had been so in love with from all the pictures I’d seen. I’d lost like 20 pounds and I was looking better in most things I tried on. It did feel right though. I know this is the perfect dress for me and that’s a pretty amazing feeling. Congrats to you! No regrets!

Media really distorts our view of reality when it comes to emotions and expectations with weddings. I often cry at weddings shows just because I'm caught up in the emotions of all of the other couples/their families...just like I often cry at sappy endings to movies. However, there were absolutely zero tears when I found my dress or during alterations (I cried once because my seamstress gifted me a veil, but that's just because it was such a nice gesture). If you love how the dress makes you feel, don't second guess it just because you had no tears!

Didn’t cry. In fact was very overwhelmed and nervous with all the pressure. I ended up ordering the dress in my proper size to try it on at home alone, and although I still didn't cry I was able to really feel this was “my dress” without all the chaos.

I had my fair share of "Say Yes to The Dress" episodes where I teared up lol. I cried about a dress I didn't get in the end, but the music playing and the atmosphere made me emotional. A girl with another bride next to me started crying and was like, "I don't even know you and I'm crying. That dress looks so good on you." So I started crying, but believe me I was holding it back because I told myself I wan't going to cry haha. She definitely triggered me, but it was sweet of her.

I didn't cry. But i just knew that it was my dress. I felt so comfortable in it plus it was just beautiful. I cry for the girls on SYTD too haha. I might cry in 10 days when i get my hair trial and try it on with my dress hahaha.

Hahah I did not cry but I was like a little girl playing dress up (still emotional but in a different way). I went into David's Bridal knowing what I wanted and it was the first dress I tried on and the dress I got. I tried on other dresses just for fun since I knew it would probably be my only time to do something like this!

I cried each time I put it on. imagining my day walking down the aisle made me cry. But thinking of that moment our hearing our song we've chosen for our first dance also brings me to tears I am a sap!! It's not the dress that brings tears its the feeling and thought of your special day.

Wow I’m glad to hear others are also questioning why they did not cry. I didn’t cry and to make matters worse, my bridesmaids cried at a different dress that I didn’t end up buying!! I am happy with my dress but I do worry as to why I didn’t cry... thoughts?

I didn't cry until I went in for my first alterations appt, when i got my sleeves/straps added on and it was the first time seeing it all together. I hadn't worn the dress in about 9 months, and when I put it on it was just me by myself at the shop and the seamstress had walked away, and that's when i started crying lol. I was just so happy and nervous and everything I couldn't help it. But when I first bought my dress I didn't cry, my mom did and my bridesmaid did but I was just happy lol.

I didn't shed a tear, but I couldnt stop thinking about my dress once I saw it. You don't have to cry to know it's the right one!
