diy Wedding

So I have an army of people who are more than willing to help with the Day of stuff. Only problem is I don't know where to start. I can't seem to find any kind of list/checklist or timeline that includes any DIY set-up. Any helps appreciated!! It's an outdoor waterfront wedding

    Hey Denise:-)
I am also doing my own wedding most venues allow the setup about an hour and a half prior to the ceremony. But I know that I will be getting dressed at this time so when I booked my venue I made a point of asking if I could come in a few days ahead of time to start the setup. I'm using all silk flowers so if the weather holds and there's no chance of rain I'm going to start the setup on Thursday afternoon for my Saturday wedding. I'm going to do all of the inside decorations on Thursday and then I'm going to come back on Friday and do all of the outside decorations and basically the ceremony will be decorated for the rehearsal. That is weather permitting. If you are using fresh flowers you could just direct your friends and family whoever is coming in to help you to just come in that morning and do your setup. You may want to talk to her venue and see what they will allow.

Are youneorried about day of set up or getting all of the diy stuff made before the wedding day? If it's the latter you can start anywhere. Pick something small you want to do like the table numbers or something. Once you get one thing started and done you'll be more excited to jump into everything else.

    Hi Denise!

That’s amazing that you have so many people looking to help out!

Where I would start is by making a list of everything that needs to be set-up on the day and prioritizing it. This way you can assign tasks out to different people and make sure they get done Smiley smile

We don't get our venue till noon and I walk down the aisle at 4:15.

I plan on making a layout for how and where I want tables set up (ushers will be doing this and setting out ceremony chairs. I also plan on making a list of what belongs on each table to give to my sisters who will be decoration as I will be getting ready during this time as well!
