Diy wedding prep?

Destiny, on October 29, 2019 at 10:02 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11
So im sitting here thinking abot the wedding n trying to figure out how im going t get ready and help set up and take pretty getting ready pictures. We dont have a budget for a day of planner/coordinator both my sister in laws that i would ask to help both have little kids and id be worried about them having to keep an eye on the kids. What is everyone doing for the weddi g day prep? I dont want fh to have to handle it all on his own. Should we go out there at like 8 am and decorate it and rope it off and hope that no body tampers with it before the event? It will be a public park and we'll be paying for a pavilion and gazebo for the entire day

Do you have some friends or a personal attendant who could set up? Or some aunts, cousins, etc? Some teens in the family you could pay to decorate for you? Being in a public park is tricky. You’d probably want someone who can be there once it is decorated to make sure nothing happens to the decorations. Do you have a church where there are people you could ask for help?

Could one SiL assist while the other watches all of the kids?

Where’s Grandma, a really sweet Aunt, or extra helpful Cousin going to be during this time of the day?

I say this all the time: “If you need help, raise your 🖐”. No one can help if you don’t let them know that you need help.

If you don't have any teens or young adults in your family to help, you could reach out to the local high school where the park is. I think you'll want someone to stay at the park once the decorations are set up, to make sure they aren't tampered with. You can probably put a notice on the school job board, and offer to pay whatever you can afford ($10/hour), for help with setup, then staying to watch over the area.

Yeah I think going out in the morning and taping it off should be fine, I can’t imagine someone doing that. I at least hope not!
