DIY Wedding Magazine Programs

I really want want magazine programs for our wedding because I think it goes with our red carpet theme, but they're so expensive. I would like to try to give it a go with DIY, but I don't know where to begin. Does anyone know of any programs or templates, maybe Microsoft Publisher or something, that I could do to attempt this? We still have a while to go, so I wanted to try to start on them now and if it doesn't work out I can come up with another plan.

Our theme is Old Hollywood, and I was also considering doing a magazine program. When i considered the cost of printing them (even if I designed them myself) it was just too much. You can usually download templates for publisher. I would look into that.

Luckily I can print them at my mom's job which will save on ink and possibly paper if they have the type I want. I just have to come up with the design. She also works in the mail room so I don't have to pay for any postage for my invites!

Hm, try going to this site: www.videohive.com, then go to the "graphics river" tab, there are templates there for graphic designers, they're pretty cheap, you may be able to find what you need there. Or try creativemarket.com they may have some templates that could help!

Thanks. I have about 6 months to work on this before I'll have to give up and see about ordering them through someone lol. I'm also going to try to make my own pocket invitations. I'm going to order a sample kit from cardsandpockets.com and see how they turn out. If I like it I'll make my own, but if there's not much of a price difference I'm going to leave it to the pros.
