    @Brandi Those boxes are adorable.

@Future Mrs.Eversole I'm trying to DIY everything also.

So far I'm going to DIY the centerpieces, all the bouquets, the bouts, invites, escort cards, champagne flutes for my bridal party. I just feel like I need more ideas lol

Our card box will be DIY and I have no idea how that's going to turn out. Also our programs. But I haven't started working on anything yet.

    Love the chocolate boxes though.

I can't post a picture from my phone, but I painted about 50 plain Ball mason jars to look like the vintage blue ones. Cost me $1 per jars versus $5+ for the real thing, and you seriously can't tell the difference!

I am making my own name hangers for myself and my bridesmaids. I have the names done, but still need to attach them to the hangers this weekend. I'll post pics when they are done : )

I was gonna ask the same Amanda, what paint did you use?

And future Mrs. Eversole, I was thinking of doing my veil myself too: I want it chapel length. Where are you planning on buying the fabric and what are you using for yours?

Some more DIY projects I was planning on doing: signs to show guest our venue location, DIY spotify playlists, a balloon "chandelier" in lack of a better word- just a cool pinterest idea, and food (This is only possible because we only have 40 guest and I was planning on a stew that I would prep the day before and the day of let the heating, salad and mashed potatoes be mommies and bridesmaids responsibility... Btw, do you think this is a bad idea?).

So far I've done DIY Thank you notes for the shower and Thank you notes for after the wedding. The after-the-wedding notes have embossed "just married" stamp on the back of the envelope and on the card itself, and there's leaves/branches embossed. The shower thank yous don't have any embossing yet. And I stamped & wrote out our addresses on all of the RSVP envelopes too! Still so much to do, and this is only a tiny bit of what's done so far! Also doing invites/rsvps, centerpieces, decorations, etc!

@Aimee cant wait to see the pictures, I was thinking about doing the hangers. Will you post instructions as well? Smiley smile

@Anna I want to make my veil as well, but I'm lucky that Downtown LA is minutes away from me and everything is inexpensive there.

I used 1 part Pebeo brand glass paint in turquoise, mixed with 4 parts Pebeo paint thinner. I painted it on with sponge brushes that I got for $.07 each at Michaels during a sale. Paint it on thin, as it will leave streaks. But they aren't noticeable at all unless you're looking for them. Then I baked them in the over for 20 mins at 350 degrees to seal on the paint. They look awesome and it wasn't hard at all!

    Gorgeous ladies!

Hmm....when I was planning my laid back wedding, my skills were not up to snuff, so my stuff is not all that great. I did love my welcome bags and escort cards. H made my wedding hanger too.

I haven't made mine yet, but I am getting the materials this weekend for:

    1. Time Capsule Box (rather than guest book)

    2. Bags for Jordan Almonds

    3. Fans for us to do calligraphy on with guest names for their favors during the ceremony (it's an outside June wedding).

On the vieil my mom is very crafty and said they sell it at Joann fabric or any fabric store (i dont know what you have near you) its basically like toole but softer and then just some sort of hairpiece from claires probably..

Just did the same kind of mason jars project for tinted see thru ones with mod podge and food coloring.. to get rid of the streaks you just bakes them longer...

but i just dropped a small amount of the color in there and then tilted them around until they were coated then sat them upside down on newspaper for the extra to leak out this way you dont get any streaks!

For my daughter's wedding, my skills improved significantly.

In Pic 1 - I designed the layout of the table. I made the frames and the paper inside it. I made the votive holders and I made the candle and candle ring that is sitting on the table.

In Pic 2 - I made her favor boxes. Thanks to Kelly King of Kelly King Designs for the favor tags.

In Pic 3 - I did these packets of wild flower seeds, the frame and saying, I used a VP magnet with her logo for the outside(Thanks to Hayley for creating it).
