I bought a super ugly vintage small suitcase for $3.00 (!) and cut a hole on the top and modge podged vintage scrapbook paper and embellishments on it! I also made a few paper flowers and added the pearls to it. I love it and it goes with my theme and total price was like $8.00!

My friend and I tried to make her cardbox with wrapping paper and fabric and neither worked to well for us. I like scrapbook paper because its thick and it doesnt bunch. Also I modge podged it on the box and on top to seal it.

I made some fabric flip flops for my bridesmaids, which they all really liked (we're FL girls.)

We made these super sentimental plates with notes to each set of parents. My MIL cried, my mom really liked it, and I know I made a fan of Carole. Smiley winking

We made Christmas ornament bouquets -- the picture shows mine and one of my BMs. My MOH had a purple top ornament instead of just the turquoise.

@Carole I love your escort cards

@Jessica.. I want to steal your cardbox, it's so original.

@Reenski I always wondered what your bouquet looked like from afar, and boy are they gorgeous!

@Mrs. Eversole, they weren't hard at all. I'm hoping to put a tutorial together this weekend, but I pretty much followed another tutorial I found on Pinterest.

@Amber, thank you! They came out REALLY well, I was very happy with them, much better than real flowers. I'm hoping to get my BM's bouquet to her soon (she didn't want to fly with it in case TSA made her throw it out.) Mine is currently on display in my house. Smiley smile

    Name Hangers

    I watched this youtube video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=veBBTs-Lmqw

    and read these instructions:

    http://columbia.wedding101.net/blog/2011/12/02/friday-diy-custom-wire-name-wedding-hangers/

    I bought:

    - Wooden hangers (5 pack) $3-$4 at Walmart

    - 18 Gauge Galvanized Wire from Lowes (they recommend 14 gauge wire, but I couldn't find it)

    - Needle nose pliers/wire cutters from Lowes

I also looked at google pictures to figure out how to shape some of the letters. I plan to drill holes in my hangers (like the 2nd link) and insert the wire rather than wrap the wire (like the 1st link).

The couch was white and stained, the blue couch was this weird brown color and the green chair was a wooden cane chair
