diy Portrait Wedding Invitations?

Luxurious wedding invitations are expensive… Inexpensive wedding invitations have no glam…
Do guest value/keep invitations? Or are they scrap 🗑? Don’t see the point of spending a lot of money of something that’s going to be trash 😢 but I also don’t want to look cheap 🤦🏻‍♀️ diy Portrait Wedding Invitations? 1

I get that! I'm one of the weirdos who does keep them, but I acknowledge most people aren't. I ended up designing my save the dates and invites in Canva, then printing them through Catprint on plain heavy cardstock! I spent $66.85 on 35 each of 5x7" invites (double-sided, one side no bleed/B&W other side no-bleed, full color), 4.25x5.5" details cards, 4.25x5.5" menu cards, 3.5x5" welcome dinner cards, and 3.5x5" reception cards (the last 4 single-sided, B&W, no bleed).

My save the dates were $59.11 for 40, full color, double-sided, full-bleed without a coupon.

I got all our envelopes from Paper Source, waiting until they had a paper bar sale!

I looked around on Etsy for designs I liked, downloaded a few free fonts from Canva, and here we are!

These are my save the dates:

I went some where in the middle with mine. Most people will throw them out after the wedding or even sooner. I am guilty of this. I hate having stuff.

Yes, me too!!! I keep everything… I’m very attached to sentimental value items. I was always looking forward to choosing glamorous wedding invitations… but realized invites are now disposable 😔 thank you for the info and your pictures look amazing. Congratulations 💍

I always appreciate the invitation. I keep it until the wedding and then pitch it - otherwise, I would be drowning in paper lol

I toss them. I only keep things directly addressed to me like birthday cards, holiday cards etc. But wedding invitations I wouldn’t keep

I have not kept one invitation over the many years of attending weddings.

I honestly love to keep all of the wedding stationary we get and then on their first wedding anniversary I usually send them a card and congratulate them! I do know a lot of people do throw them away.

I’ve found a bunch of really nice ones on theknot and some other sites. We did our save the date on it and got a magnet with our pics. You can pick the paper etc so you can find fancy or more casual! I got married years ago to my first husband and had 300 invitations… most people threw away the extremely expensive invites anyway
