DIY Head Table Monogram....and a question!!!

Jen H., on January 17, 2012 at 1:20 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

So I finished this today. The letters were on sale for 50% off (Hobby Lobby, all wood is on sale this week!). I got some eggplant paint and some orange ribbon. (Colors are eggplant and orange). I already had the glitter. So here is the final product.

My question is......how the heck do I hang these from the head table?!?! I have scoured the internet to no avail. =(

Do they have to hang from the head table? I've seen them on hung on the back of the couples chairs.

Hang them from the front of the head table, over the table cloth.

I can't hang them from the chairs...our head table will be near a wall, no one would see them, lol.

Yes, I want to hang them from the front of the table...but how? Tape the ribbon with duct tape under the table cloth? Attach them somehow to the table skirt clips?

Very cute!! I got some letters on sale a few months ago.....but haven't figure out what to do with them yet. I'm trying to think of a way you can hang them on the front but just can't come up with anything. Sorry I'm no help. I had to tell you how cute they are though!

Yes you can use table skirt clips, you can safety pin them under the cloth, you can place candle votive on them with candles inside for weight.

Yeah that would be a waste if the back of your chairs are facing the wall.

Could the ribbon be incorporated into your table setting?

    Like one of these

Or maybe tie a bow and pin it to the table covering

    Very Nice!!!

I would say attach to the table skirt clips.... or safety pin them to the table cloth.

Great! Thanks for the ideas ladies! I think the bow idea is awesome! And if that doesn't work, table skirt clips it is! I think I'll use safety pins regardless, just for some added reinforcement. =)

Double sided sticky tape! Trust me it will work and the tape is white, the only thing is it is hard as heck to get back off.

Command hooks, fishing line and safety pins. I took a picture of the command hooks that im talking about, they are small and clear but they have a variety of colors and sizes. i would stick the command hook to the back of the letter UPSIDE down, then tie fishing line to it making a loop, then hang the loop on the safety pin which you can secure from under the tablecloth. thats how i hung wooden flowers from my daughter's ceiling, minus the safety pin, lol.

What about a wooden dowel rod (hang them from it like you would a curtain rod and secure the rod at each end of the table with command hooks
