diy flowers - delivery question

Hi all!

When should I get my flowers delivered? We're ordering hydrangeas from Costco in bulk for our ceremony. They won't need hardly any prep since we're doing super simple decorations. I just don't want to have them delivered too early and have them turning brown by the wedding. Wedding is on a Saturday.

    Have them delivered at least Monday. Tuesday at the latest.

    No put them in water. You will have other things to take care of midweek through the weekend.

    I ordered my flowers from FiftyFlowers. I got a couple different types and they suggested delivery date per type of flower. Some, they had delivered Wednesday and some on Thursday. Wedding was Saturday.


    I’m not sure about hydrangeas specifically. I THINK FiftyFlowers’s site allows you to input event date and you can see when you click on a flower type how soon THEY suggest ordering, so you might want to check out their site and see if you can gather any insight. Costco might offer similar advice, I’m just not sure

    My wedding was last weekend and we did all of our flowers through Costco and Sam’s club. The florist at Sam’s suggested we have everything delivered on Thursday for a Saturday wedding. Our wedding was at a large retreat so we immediately got everything in water and kept them in a cool room. They opened up perfectly and looked amazing!
