Who the heck does this??

Shropshire2Davis, on January 15, 2012 at 7:31 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 38

So my sisters friend was driving down the highway about three days ago and WATCHED as someone threw a box of puppies out the window...who the heck does that?? I mean seriously, you wouldn't through a baby out the window of a moving car would you?? then why do it to puppies that can't even do anything to you nor to anything else for that matter?? Only two of the four were rescued before getting hit by cars, she's homed one of them and the other is still undergoing medical treatment they think it got knocked around pretty good when it landed...Smiley sad they are such cute puppies too I don't know why people would do something like this to innocent animals...

The first picture is the boy, they named him chewy, and the second is the girl

OMG that is TERRIBLE! Both my dogs are rescues - the tan one was born "wild" in Puerto Rico and the black and white one was abandoned in Tennessee. Aside from FH they are the loves of my life, and can't imagine life without them.

That is so sad, but unfortunately you'd be surprised at what people do to babies as well. I work at a Children's hospital and see it everyday.

That second one os too cute, wish I could have her!

The second one is supposed to be a gift to my mom (her birthday is next month) but the vet won't release her because the people who saved her couldn't pay the bill, which i think is a hock of crap, you wouldn't keep a persons child because they couldn't pay the doctor bill would you??

Marianne most of my animals have been rescues, the dogs anyhow...Blaze, the dog I got when I moved to alaska, my mom saved after it was just put out of a car at the food bank she worked at...

This is so sad. My ex and I were driving behind a car on the highway once who threw a kitten out the window. I made him stop and I got the kitten and then we took off after the car and called the cops. We couldn't get to the other car in time so we met with the cop and he took the kitten to a no kill shelter. I called three days later to see when the kitten would be ready to be adopted since we wanted her but they told me she had so much internal damage they had to put her down. She was so skinny and when I was holding her I could see the fleas jumping onto me. Smiley sad It made me so mad that someone would treat a tiny kitten like that, any animal for that matter.

Jamila I know how horrible some people can be, my sister has run an "animal rescue" kind of household since she was a kid (her mom started her on it) and some of the animals they've gotten in, dogs especially have been thouroughly messed up before they got them...

Cute pups!!! Our Abbigaile Grace is an adopted Racing Greyhound. She is four and the abuse she endured was some nasty stuff... I would hate to have been the one that seen these people throw the pups outta the car cause I probably would be in jail right now=\

What is wrong with people?! If you don't want them take them to a shelter where they at least stand a chance. All are cats (3) are rescues. My FH has had the smallest since she was three weeks old--someone abandoned her and a co-worker found her. Our third was a foster....we didn't know that the phrase "Here, foster a kitten" was actually code for "here, HAVE a kitten!" Smiley smile

Nice to see so many people getting their furbabies from rescues and shelters. Smiley smile

That is the saddest thing ever! I can't imagine how people could abuse or harm animals, especially little puppies or kittens. We have two cats and if anything ever happened to them I'd be devastated. That's so awesome of your sister to rescue them though!!

Unfortunately, my friend had a dog she couldnt keep the shelter REFUSED TO TAKE THEM! THATS why people do that... not that I agree with it, but I can't believe a shelter, full or no, would just say no. And they tried everywhere, even out of state, etc.

Thank god someone was there to see and saved them!! they look precious!

That is so dang sad. But that is how my second dog was found. (We have 2 rescues) She was apparently tossed out of a moving vehicle at 7 months because when animal control found her, she had fractured ribs and road rash. Shes all perfectly healed now (we've had her over a year) but when we got her, she was severely underweight and missing skin in various parts of her body. Now she's fully recovered and at the weight she should be.

First pic is her with our other dog, but at the age she was at, she should have been twice the brown dogs size.

Second was the day we got her..you can see how malnourished she was, ribs poking out and her stomach bulging

Third is her now, perfectly happy and spoiled rotten

Ugh, that makes me sick to my stomach. I cannot imagine physically abusing or neglecting any living breathing thing.

I'm glad those two are going to have a happy ending. Smiley smile They're charming puppies! Congratulations!

Awwww thats sooo sad! hahaha @Mrs Clark the last pic of your dog is so funny and cute Smiley smile My furry baby is a rescue too. she was found with the rest of her litter in an old abandoned barn when they were around 5wks old, she is one of the sweetest dog we've ever had! We think she was abused though because she is afraid of men like she will run away from them!

It breaks my hear when I hear stories like this! My 9 year old boxer is a rescue Smiley sad He was a bait dog, about 25-30lbs under weight. His nose was torn and infected. And had infected scratches and bite marks all over his sides Smiley sad Its sad knowing the first 7+ years of his life sucked but at least I know the last part of his life will be amazing Smiley smile

Its the best feeling ever knowing you saved a dog!

I was sitting in my florida room one rainy day when I saw a pickup truck come flying down our strert with their tailgate open. All of a dudden the driver slams on their brakes and an old dog is slugshot out of the back of the truck. The dog went flying so hard on the wet pavement. I was SCREAMING and my husband came running to me. He witnessed the asshole do it again and he went outside yelling at the guy. He recognized the truck from being a block over and we called the police. These idiots were laughing about how funny they were until the cops came and arrested them. I cannot stand how people can do that to an innocent animal.

That makes me so sad. I hate when pple mistreat animals. Just because they aren't humans doesn't mean they don't have feelings.

It's disgusting. Unfortunately common. Last weekend my neighbor checked in with us because she found a puppy, believed someone dumped her at the end of our street. The next morning my shepard jumped our fence and began barking at the car. She found another puppy. It's just so hard to believe that people have such little regard for life. My neighbor and I both found the puppies homes. It's horrible.
