I have decided that I am going to try to make pew bows, a card box and place cards. What are some easy projects? My theme is "Love".

I want to try pew bows and a card box too. Haven't yet, but I do have some inspirations from things I've seen others too. May have to steel a few ideas from others, since I'm not really the crafty person..so tutorials will play a big part. Went to the florist yesterday and he showed me some pew bows/flowers..it's looked simple, some tule with a few roses and greens on..i thought to myself..yeah I can do that....Good luck to both of us...

I'm making my own pew bows, too! I'm making fabric pomanders in cream, peach, and very pale pink. I live in NJ and there aren't really any fabric stores around anymore (even our WalMarts got rid of their fabric sections this year! Smiley sad ), so I bought super-clearance sheet sets and they work great. I don't have any pictures of mine right now, but they look just like the ones attached below. What style pew bows are you making?

We're also DIY'ing our programs, invitations, and guest book alternative (fingerprint wedding tree), but I haven't gotten up the nerve to start any of them yet!

@Anticipating August...We did our own STD's. We did our own centerpieces, which really meant we put together our ideas and bought it. Upcoming...We are doing our own table name cards....motorcycles with names of places we have toured on the bike. I am doing my bouquet, booties and corsage. We are doing candy(self print stickers for Hershey kisses) to put out on the cake table.

The bouquet is the inspiration pic.

Here's a couple of my recent ones.

1 - Tears of Joy packets

2 - Centerpiece mock up. I'll be using real flowers, but wanted to get an idea of what it would look like

3 - Tea bags for my welcome bags.

We did everything from the invitations to the chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) ourselves. A list of projects, with instructions, can be found at this link.

I'm doing my own centerpieces and bouquets. My centerpiece is just a mason jar with decorative river rocks and spanish moss and silk flowers, I may add a pink ribbon around the lip of the jar to add some color.. but I havent decided if I want to or not.

I'm having a vintage Alice in Wonderland themed wedding. Instead of traditional boutonnière and corsages I did jewelry. I did heart lockets with rabbit brooch pins for the groomsmen/fathers and rose brooches for the mothers.

I am also doing favors, centerpieces and table numbers but don't have anything finished one to show yet Smiley winking

I used Etsy for 95% of my project needs and saved a ton. For example, I originally wanted to do pocket watches for boutonnières - at $22 a pop for 9 people. Eventually I opted for the locket-thingies. I ordered everything in that pictures for all 9 pieces for a total cost of about $30 including shipping. And it only took about an hour to put together. I am also using globalrose.com for flowers (so cheap!!) and papermart.com for ribbon and floral tape.
