I have decided that I am going to try to make pew bows, a card box and place cards. What are some easy projects? My theme is "Love".

These are a couple of decorations we had at our couples shower. Some of them we used at the wedding. My pumpkin with my new last name, I added a piece of foam from the craft store (after this photo was taken).

@Carole that is too funny. I did the same thing with the save the dates. I keep telling myself that I'm not crafty, but the truth is I'm just too lazy to attempt to put anything together. I'd rather pay someone else to do it. Sometimes I wish I had the DIY spirit. It's so gratifying when you can say I made that and it looks amazing.

Here are a couple of more. Actually, I didn't make them, but my husband's niece did because she is more crafty but I paid for everything. I did do my invitations on Vista Print and I didn't do the proper way of writing out the date and time, because I didn't want to.

Lastly, I made our seating chart, the blue circles will have the names on white paper over them in a pretty font,

Our pomanders for the aisle and then our bouts.

I would say the card box is pretty easy, as well as the place cards. You could something as simple as creating something in a word doc or something like that for the place cards maybe have "Love" put in the water mark area or clip art with hearts or something. As for the card box, just find a nice shaped box that you like and you can either cover it with craft paper and start decorating on a clean slate or you can build on the decoration of the box itself.

For those that did cardboxes...where did you get the boxes? I like the hatbox look.

I used shoe boxes, I wanted them to kind of look like presents.

I plan on doing bridesmaids gifts (wire hangers and wedding day jewelery- pearls), centerpieces, place cards, invitations are coming up pretty soon and a girlfriend and I are going to do them together. Thank god she's an art major. I am hoping I can do the wire hangers for the bridesmaids... has anyone attempted them?

I've heard of people buying wooden hangers, and painting them and then some kinda way they trace the bridesmaid name on the hanger. I bought the wired hanger from etsy.

I have Diy'd just about EVERYTHING. Invites, card box, bouquets, bout, tissue packs, programs, mr.&mrs signs, isle runner, centerpieces, corsages for parents, std's, and a ton of other things. I also plan to do my own cake. I know, it's crazy. Wish me luck. (the cake pictured is one I did for someone else)
