We had to put our dog to sleep yesterday :(

Oh no!!!

Pets become our kids (especially when you don't have kids yet)... and losing them is a horrible feeling. Don't know what I would do if our baby had to be put down.

If you want to do it... then do it.

I am sorry for your loss. We love our Goomba and losing him would be like losing a member of our family. I will keep you in my thoguhts and prayers.

I'm so, so sorry. It's not crazy at all; they become our family; many of my couples include their dogs either as part of their ceremony or at least in an animal blessing....if you email me your address, I can send you the script.

I don't think it would be ridiculous at all to have a memorial candle for her. You could have a photo next to it of you two with her, or you could forego the photo, and the two of you could just know who that candle is burning for.

That's awful. Our dog means the world to us. I would be devastated. So sorry for your loss. I would definitely do a small memorial like Mrs. Pugh suggested.

Pets are our family too. I know it hurt to have to find a new home for my cat. Im about to move soon and I cant take the cat with me. You can do anything you want to remember to pooch

We have a cat we got together and I swear my FH would put a tux on him if he could.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know what it is like to lose a pet that you feel is part of your family. I hope that it won't put a damper on your wedding day and I think it is perfectly acceptable to light a memorial candle. It like losing a child ... I will keep you in my thoughts.

I am very sorry for your loss. I understand how painful that is. The dog I had since I was six was put to sleep last year. It really broke my heart. I could not imagine my life without him after having him so long, and I still think of him. He's in my profile pic on FB, and every time I try to change the pic, I just can't do it.

I hate hearing about lost pets. I hate loosing pets. It is like loosing a family member. I would most definatly do a memorial if my wedding were right around the corner.
