Has the dress been altered? cause if it hasnt im pretty sure if the tag is still on it you could work something out with them.

Where did you buy it, and how long ago? I know some David's Bridal stores will work with you, some brides have been able to get store credit to buy a different dress.

Otherwise, you can at least try to get some of your money back by selling it on Craigslist, recycledbride.com, oncewed.com, or preownedweddingdresses.com. Best of luck!

That's a beautiful dress! Have you tried to re-ignite your feelings for it?

Did you buy it from a chain-store like David's or a bridal boutique? Boutiques are almost always "final sale", without much wiggle room unless there is a really good reason for the return. And honestly, "falling out of love with it" may not be a great reason from a business perspective.

Have you found a new dress yet? Can you afford to get a new one without selling or getting your money back on the old one? I only bring it up, because it usually takes some time to find a buyer. So you may not have time before you September wedding to sell that dress and buy a new one with the sales-funds.

It hasn't even come in yet circumstances changed and the date has been pushed far ahead the dress comes in July and the receipt i signed says it final sale

Give them a call, tell them that you think you'd like a different dress, the worst they can say is no. My cousin and best friend were both able to change dresses to something the same price or higher. You usually get store credit that all has to be used at one time. So if you paid $700, and you find a new dress you love for $500, you still have to buy other things to get up to that $700.

David's Bridal always says their sales are final - but from stories I've heard from girls on these boards, they can be willing to work with a bride to figure out a solution. More so, it seems, than independent bridal boutiques.

You bought your wedding dress, and also 4 bridesmaid dresses? Yeah, if you don't want store credit, then one of the websites I listed before may be your best bet, but I doubt you'd be able to get ALL of your money back. Again, best of luck!

I had to let one of my BM go and they said since she didnt recieve the dress yet...she could get her money back and she did. I would go up there. Doesnt hurt to ask. It was Davids bridal

If there's another DB store near you I'd try that one. I was in a wedding and long story short, 2 of us needed different sized dresses. The other girl was able to trade her dress for another size but the manager at my store was rude and said too bad, not our problem.

I'm pretty sure DB will not give you your money back but they might give you store credit. If they do that, take the credit and trade it to someone who will be buying a DB dress.

It may take a little time and effort but don't let the fact that you can't get cash back get you down.

Also, a sob story never hurts!!! Standing in front of a manager with a store full of people and begging her to help you out of a bind can work worlds better than calling.

Davids bridal let me do an exchange as long as i got something of equal value or more!

I'd say ebay. That's your best bet, especially if you can prove you paid the dollar amount. Ask for buyer to pay shipping costs.
