so, i lost 65 pounds from 2007-2010. got divorced, fell in love and gained 30 back. I'm now a size 16 again, and I need more jeans!!! the problem is, i'm an apple shape....i usually have to go up 1-2 sized to get the waist to not produce muffin-top, but then the butt and thighs are baggy. any good...

I'm currently wearing the Lane Bryant new Genius Fit jeans... they're supposed to not stretch out after wearing them for awhile. (I love the fit on their Right Fit, but after wearing them I get a lot of saggy bottom stretch) I've had them on for about 7 hours and so far I think they're keeping their fit well. Today is the first day I've worn them, so we'll see how they do after a day or two of wear.

Also, I agree!! Fashion trends be damned! Skinny and straight-legged jeans are not universally flattering to full-figured women. I really wish Lane Bryant and some other plus-sized stores would bring back flared jeans! I miss my "light flare" jeans. Smiley sad Even the Genius Fit I ended up buying were "slim boot cut" instead of regular boot cut.

I hate Lane Bryant jeans, but I love Maurices. I go and try the styles on though, and their brand, not Silver or anything like that. They have different cuts so you should hopefully be able to find something there.

I am however, a bit different, I have a smaller waist than my thighs and butt, so finding jeans that don't gap in the waist is a pain. Maruices has been my best bet.

Silvers are my best friend!!! The only brand of jeans I will own. I too have the smaller waist but all hips and butt. Plus to top it off I'm all legs, very hard to find long enough pants. Maurice's and torrid sell silvers, on the spendy side but are amazing Smiley smile

I vote we campaign for a return of the flair. They are sooo faltering. it gives you all the right curves!

Maurices has flairs and good bootcuts. That's why I go there. I look ok in skinny jeans but they're uncomfortable. the Ivy or Briana are my favorite cuts of theirs. The only thing I don't like is they change the style of wash on them, and I am a dark jeans girl.
