Look what I found! *Pic*

I went to the thrift shop to look for clothes for my daughter and niece. Well, I ended up finding beautiful wine glasses that I will put aside for my mom and fh's mom. I got them for only .99 cents each! If you are on a tight budget, start looking at your local thrift shops! I also bough a nice candle holder for $1.50!

Courtney had 5 upside down wine glasses at each table with a flower underneath and a votive on top...she got all of them at the thrift stores and there are some beautiful glasses there! Good job!

Thanks ladies! My mom was complaining that they are dirty, and um hello that is what soap and water is for! Lol

There is some sticky stuff I have to get off of there, so I will be working on getting the bottom of the flutes sticky free!

Very nice! Just curious, though..what are your mom and MIL going to do with one champagne flute? Are they for the actual wedding day? They're very pretty, but after that day, I'm wondering how they will be practical.

Congrats!!! I found our flutes at a thrift store too, also for 0.99/ea. They're so pretty, but I'm considering tying a ribbon to the stem, haven't tried it out yet. Hmm maybe I should go do that now lol.

If your flutes don't sparkle after washing, get a container of Bar Keeper's Friend, it's a scouring agent that will make them gleam.

Have been to Goodwill and have scored big. You should have seen poor FH yesterday, looking for containers for our candy buffet. LOL and just in case you haven't heard, I got a wedding gown there for $7 and stripped it for parts to aid in the construction of my DIY dress. Montavara-thanks for the tip about the Bar Keepers friend. My mom swore by that stuff, but I didn't know you could use it on glass. That will be a big help
