How long??

Six months -181 day engagement!

Our engagement will be coming in at a little over two years. I started planning a little over a year out-- but you can definitely start planning now! Research potential venues, you can even set up appointments to tour. I'm sure you could start booking this far out too. Figure out what you want from your wedding. The colors, the feel, etc. pinpoint a budget. Start thinking about the guest list (but keep this private until you send out save the dates).

We got engaged in March and getting married in October. We've had to move fast on somethings like the venue (getting married on a Friday) but overall I wish we were married already

I got engaged in April and getting married in January. I actually wanted to get married in December but because it's such a busy time and it's a DW I moved the date to accommodate everyone.

Our engagement will be almost 16 months. We just got engaged July 1st. FH and I found the perfect venue already and we have already booked. Most decent venues here either cost an arm and a leg or were already filling up. I also already have my MUHA, photographer, and florist picked out.

It'll be 16 months for us.

My fiancé and I got engaged September 6 2015 but our wedding isn't until July 15 2017. We are both teachers so only a summer wedding would work and we live in Florida but we are getting married in New York where our families are and where we are originally from! Since we live far away doing a wedding in 10 months wasn't realistic so a 2 year engagement it was. So I understand it's hard to have to wait because it's an exciting time and you want to work on it now but we had to wait until we got to NY to meet with vendors and make decision and it did not make it any less special! Ours is about nine months, but for us it was either elope at Christmas, get married in Mary, or wait almost two years and we didn't like two years or eloping.

And who says there's nothing you can do? You have lots of time for the details, but you can always get started on some of the big stuff: budget first, then venue and guest list. Then start checking into photographers. Those 3 are usually the big ones, and they can get booked early on, so it's never too early to get started!

We are getting married two weeks before you and have the budget, guest list, and venue done...waiting on FH to get a hold of the prospective caterers (food is on his to-do list), but making progress.

Our engagement will be 15 months long. I'm totally okay with it because it gives us adequate time to plan and save!

Our engagement was 2 months and 3 days we got legally married but the planning was 1 year and 4 months for our Christian ceremony (I wanted to finishing up with grad school first) and I get the excitment i recommend determining a budget and a roughdraft of your guest list, color scheme, theme if any and who you would want as BM and MOH etc

Our engagement will be 20 months, and I basically started planning right away!

Our engagement will be 16 months. This is mostly because we got engaged in March and wanted a summer wedding but since I'm finishing up school I didn't want the pressure of planning a wedding in a few months so we pushed it to next summer.

4 months. We had 13 month engagement planned but life happens. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Our engagement will be 15 months. We got engaged in September and didn't set a date until after Christmas. I told FH if we didnt start making some decisions we would never get married.

16 months

He proposed at the beginning of this month...so it'll be a year engagement for us. Maybe the length of the engagement depends on how big of a wedding you want.

My fiancé gave me 5 months to prepare! It's my first his third and last.
