Hello everyone!! How long did you all wait between your engagement and getting married?? We are waiting 2 years and I feel like I'm so excited to plan but there's nothing I can plan yet!! I'm sure you all can give me pointers on how to cure my excitement and being impatient.

Our engagement is going to be a year and a half. I highly recommend booking your venue now, especially for a June wedding. There are places near me (Portland Oregon) that already had every Saturday in summer 2017 booked as well as the first part of fall when I checked back in april.

Ours is 22 months. It has been great to save and get the big vendors nailed down right away.

1 year! I actually wish it would be longer so I have more time to plan.

17 months. You can start looking at venues to get an idea of cost and it'll give you more time to budget if you know what you're looking at.

Our engagement will be 9 months! I'm actually done with most things now and still have 2 months to go, but if you start planning early you can learn things, make less mistakes and save some money! I agree it's not too early. You can do research and wait to book things.

About 20 months. It has been long but I've really enjoyed taking my time and not feeling overwhelmed. Well at least not yet Smiley smile

Ours will be a little over three years. Going into it, we decided we wanted a long engagement. It makes sense for us, for schooling and monetary reasons. We have our date, and we will start looking at venues late next year.

Engaged August of 2015. It's never too early to start planning. Over the past year I've had a few vendors tell me they were already booked for my date. I thought I was planning early, but someone beat me to the punch.

Our engagement will end up being 1 yr and 9 months. Start getting ideas of what you would like your theme to be and the colors you want. Don't get overwhelmed or rush into any decisions. You have plenty of time to have the wedding you want! Enjoy your engagement and happy planning. Before you know it, your special day will be here Smiley smile

Our engagement is 25 months long! My advice is to pick your venue right away to lock in your date! And then the ball will just roll from there with choosing a caterer for the venue, and so on!

This is the same for me! Me and my FH are really wanting something small here (some family members can't travel) and a ceremony on an island. I'm starting to get prices because I'm afraid it will be too expensive.

23 months for us. I need to keep reminding myself that I don't have all that extra time to drag my feet anymore! It was really nice being able to take our time planning.

Ours will be about 15 months. We needed time to save money and enjoy being engaged. We got all the major things booked within a few months, I go dress shopping this weekend! The only problem with a long engagement is I keep changing my mind on all the little details
