I personally dislike traveling with other people, so going on a honeymoon with other people is a big no. To each their own though

I've heard of it, but I have the same reaction when people say that they're making it a family vacation. The Honeymoon is time for the two of you to have some time together, time to recoup from all the planning stress, to start your married life. It's hanky panky time.

If you really want to have to worry about meeting up with friends, you do you, but personally, I'd make the trip with my H and H alone.

There's no right or wrong way to honeymoon!

I can definitely see the appeal in this with the right friends. It sounds like fun! However, I would want to set aside some serious alone time as well.

I don't think I'd enjoy having friends with us on our honeymoon, even if they were honeymooning too. Going on vacation with friends can be taxing under the best of circumstances and, after our the months of stress of planning our wedding, I want as little stress on our honeymoon as possible.

Besides, FH is very outgoing, and we tend to make couple-friends whenever we go away.

Never heard of it, and I'd personally have no desire to do that for my honeymoon. I wanted my honeymoon to be just my husband and me Any other vacation? Sure, maybe. But not for me for my honeymoon.

I haven't heard of it and wouldn't do it. FH and I have taken trips with friends, but our honeymoon will be an intimate trip for just the two of us. Everyone is different and you may enjoy buddymooning, it just isn't for me. Trips with friends can be taken any other time.

No. my FI and his friend joked about this and I didn't think it was funny at all. My honeymoon is mine. no gets to go but us.

It's one thing if you happen to have friends who are honeymooning at the same resort as you at the same time and you decide to meet up for dinner one night. That's still a honeymoon since you are traveling separately and meeting up.

And while this may be fun - IMO its definitely not a honeymoon. It's just a vacation.

This sounded fun at first but the more I think about it the less I like it (for us).

We got engaged in Paris and it was just the two of us. It was a lot of fun exploring by ourselves and planning the day as we wanted. I guess it depends on the type of honeymoon you want. I like seeing new sites and moving around. I’d hate to have to plan or depend on other people to do stuff.

But it if you’re just lounging around on a beach I could see how that could be fun.

To each their own, i dont really get the sexcation thing or it not being a honeymoon because there is someone else on the resort with you. The only thing I'd worry about is if they got into a fight or something like that.

IMO, Honeymoon= vacation after wedding. But I'm just old and gross Kathryn. What do I know.
