BR: 30w update ( pic)

Miya, on September 24, 2010 at 1:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 34

I just got back from my midwife appointment and I think all in all, it went well. I'm at 149 lbs (gained 29 lbs so far) and baby is right on track with size/growth. The midwife put the doppler on him and he started to squirm and *try* to hide from her and it made her laugh. Now I'll be having my midwife appointments every 2 weeks (instead of 4) and I'll be starting my classes in October. I was also given a flu vaccine (ow my arm) and also told to eat more red meat. Smiley amazing

Below is a pic DH took the night before when we went out to dinner/dessert and I have to say, having a belly for a mini-table isn't bad. Smiley xd

Thanks ladies! Btw, any suggestions on upping my iron and my protein via my diet? Before my pregnancy I used to do that via Guinness. Smiley xd Midwife said more red meat but my tummy doesn't digest it comfortably enough. >__>

Brocolli (sp?) has iron, smother it in cheese and you get calcium too! I think yougurt has some protein, and I know for sure beans do.

You look great, and I'm ready for my own personal table too!! Why did they say to eat more red meat? Just curious because I pretty much never do except for a hamburger maybe once a month. I always eat chicken or ground turkey.

Thanks again ladies! Also, thanks July, Analy and Unique for the suggestions... I've never been a big red meat person so I'll just add or up other food on my diet. I definitely like spinach, tofu, beans, and broccoli.

@Potters: Midwife said I need more protein and iron and I guess maybe red meat gives the most (?).

@Unique: I'm absolutely stuck on baby names. DH and so far have: James, Sean, and Liam on the table. We haven't added or ruled out any names in the past months!
