Ahh My Ovaries!!! (NWR)

Not-A-Bridezilla, on February 9, 2010 at 8:10 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

Hey ladies.... so starting this morning I've been having a wierd pain... whenever I sneeze I get an intense pain in my right ovary. It's REALLY wierd... I tried to look it up online and there is no solid explanation for it other than pregnancy (which I'm pretty sure isn't the cause because most people who were pregnant were like 7 months along, and i just had my period last week).. so yeah. Have any of you had similar pains? Any suggestions other than to see a doctor (currently snowed in)? Thanks!

I get that every now and again. It's not a consistent thing, just once in a blue moon and yep, it's when I sneeze. I think it may be a muscle thing, but definitely get it checked when you can.

I have had that problem before. It just happends at the most random times. I would definetly have that checked out when you can, but its probably not too big of a deal.

Perhaps an ovarian cyst that has burst? Definitely go to the doctors.

Ouch...I heard that ovarian cysts were pretty painful all the time, but definitely get it checked out. If kshively thinks it might be a possibility, you're so much better off safe than sorry!

Actually.....keep an eye on it. The pain location you just described is where your appendix is. If it becomes sore without sneezing, and increases in intensity, go to the doctors.

I think if the cyst had burst it would hurt all the time. I get those little aches sometimes, too. I think as long as it doesn't persist you're fine.

It could be a cyst that hasn't burst. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it will eventually be reabsorbed into your body (I get them from time to time). If it does burst, there's nothing you can do to prevent it (my doctor told me this), all you can do is take painkillers. I had 3 out of 5 cysts burst at one time, it was the most painful thing i have ever experienced. They had to give me morphine. Most likely, yours won't burst, it is just a little uncomfortable right now, give it a couple weeks to go away.
