Did you go into debt for your wedding?

Omg I worked about 75hrs/week and I nearly killed myself. Me and FH have our wedding paid off in full and I still have plenty of time to spare. What a relief!! Did you pay yours off with cash, card, loan?

We are paying for almost everything with a card, but we have an account set up that we saved money in to pay off the card. We only use it for the rewards!

We did most things on my rewards credit card, I get back statement credits for so many $$ amounts. It's really helped and I pay it off as soon as it posts to the account Smiley smile

So far so good, all cash.

Venue gets paid a nice chunk every 3 months, photographer is half paid then gets 40% in march and 10% after we get pics. DRESS IS PAID IN FULL! ah. DJ is a good friend who I think is trying to DJ as our gift and thats why he hasn't come up with a price yet (he's done this for our other friends in our circle). We feel good where were at right now. Its going to get tight but we've been saving as much as possible and its all flowing nicely so far.

We went into no debt paying off this wedding, we paid cash for everything. So thankful we had the means to do this.

So far we've paid cash, but if we have to take out a small loan in the end, we will. We've done it before and paid it off just fine. We both have graduate degrees and had to go into major debt to get them, plus we own a house. Is it the best way to go about it? No, but shit happens. We aren't really afraid of debt at this point and have learned how to work as a team to pay it off.

No debt. We will be paying the whole thing with cash and checks and we already have all that money set aside. However, like tnovak/2b2Shay, my savings will go down to $0.00, but that's okay because my savings account was for my future wedding anyway so it will have fulfilled it's purpose.

I was doing good, until I lost my bonuses. We decided if we got too close and still needed help, we would put it on a no interest card and then make sure it's paid off within that time frame of the no interest.

I am blessed to have parents who are able to help us. No debt here. What they aren't paying for we are paying for with cash

We budgeted everything and are NOT putting anything on a card or taking out a loan.

We may have to temporarily but it will paid off in a week or two following the wedding. So far everything has been cash, or put on a card and paid off the same day (easier since all my vendors are 2.5 hours away!)

No debt. Paying it off in cash. We both are very good with finances so we have the cash in hand.

We are paying as we go. So far the videographer ($500) is paid off, the DJ is paid ($800), we still owe $2000 for the photographer, $350 for the cake, $1401 for the rental stuff and $1,500 for the catering. All the other small stuff is paid for as we by it.

I have been posting for small things already with cash or with my card that I get points I which I pay it off right away. I figured if I have the cash and the card why would I not just pay with the card, get the points and then pay the card. I get 2% back on everything so it really adds up and then I get cash back.

Also I will be using my tax refunds for the biggest items so my actual savings don't have to take a huge hit.

No, we are only having the wedding we can afford without going into our savings or cash, we also do not want my parents to pay for anything if they don't have to since they are both retired.

We paid cash/check for everything. I did put a couple of things on my card for points, but they are paid off monthly. We started planning in November so we didn't have any money saved up for our June wedding (we have money in savings but we didn't want to use that). Our budget is $15,000, but we make six figures so we were able to use money from each paycheck to pay for things we needed without worrying.

Since we moved up the wedding we didn't save up EVERYTHING that we needed to. We charged $900. that should be paid off within 2-3 months though.
