Did you get your bachelorette party planner a gift?!

laura, on May 1, 2017 at 1:41 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Hey! So I have 5 bridesmaids. One took the lead on planning an awesome bachelorette for this weekend, but from what I hear everyone is doing a little bit to help. I definitely want to get my friend who organized it all something but my question is any ideas? How much did you spend? The others helped and are traveling a good distance? Any ideas? Maybe small gift cards to places they eat or shop? I'm at a loss!

    I asked this yesterday with not much response so I took it upon myself to get the two girls who planned it a little something. I got them each a little beach bag from target and filled it with sheet masks and an eos chopstick egg. Spent about $20 a piece! Hope that's helpful!

    I'm definitely getting the host of my party a nice gift. She went above and beyond to plan a nice party for me and she's not even in the wedding. I'll probably spend around $50. Not sure what to get her just yet.

    Coming from the other side here: As the host of a bachelorette party I don't expect a gift . I am throwing the party for my best friend because I want to celebrate her marriage.

    So that being said I think literally anything is sweet for you to give. It's kind that you are openly showing appreciation.

    Have a fun party!!

    I did because my MOH planned it from out of state and flew in for it amid stressful things in her life - I sent her a gift box with some tea and bath salts and whisky so she could relax afterwards.

    I just threw a bachelorette for my friend. I had a few people help me but I mostly did it myself. The bride bought me a make up palette and lip gloss as a thank you a couple days after we got back. I did not expect it at all and it was so thoughtful.

    I got my two BM's that planned and hosted both a cute pair of statement earrings that fit their personality from BaubleBar....then got all my girls that came to celebrate a bottle of wine from the winery we visited one of the days!

    Thank you so much for all of the input guys! I just want to make sure they all know I am so appreciative! Do you think like $25 gift card for the main organizer, and like $10 gift cards to Starbucks, Target, etc. for the others who are helping with a few things would be ok? Maybe throw in a cute little candy, nail polish, or something of that nature for each of them?

    @Madeline

    I know this is off topic, but shipping alcohol in the USPS is a felony. Also, several states outlaw shipping alcohol to or from the state which makes it illegal for UPS or FedEx to do it. Both my home state and current state of Texas outlaw it completely, which has prevented us from ordering a specialty German beer only carried by a Vermont store for a best man gift.

    FYI to all other posters! You don't need this hassle before the wedding.

    My bachelorette party was this weekend, and yesterday I scheduled to have flowers delivered to my MOH at home. I spent $100 on the arrangement (includes tax, delivery, etc.). It was a 'destination' bachelorette party, simply because everyone single one of us (4 in total on the trip) live in a different state.

    My bachelorette party is this coming weekend, everyone is staying with me and we are going out from there, my plan for a present/thank you is to take everyone to brunch the next morning!
