Did you choose to use a cake topper?

It's really up to you. If you like the look the cake topper, go for it. We opted not to have one. Our cake is going to have royal icing flowers cascading down 1 side and the baker will just add more on top for no extra charge (cake comes with our venue package). We are trying to cut costs everywhere we can, and for us, a cake topper seemed unnecessary.

I got a cake topper that matched our Ketubah design for our wedding cake and a topper that matched the theme of his grooms gift for his grooms cake in lieu of an elaborate cake design. I wanted a clean and simple semi naked cake for our two tier wedding cake. His grooms cake isn’t an elaborate fondant custom built concoction either, it’s a messy iced simple no decor small 6 in with the topper as the fun decoration for him. The toppers we can use as home decor after. And we didnt want any sugar or fondant decorations because they typically get tossed.

We're doing one because we're doing a two tier cake with an 8" top tier. It's going to look kind of squatty without one. We're doing a garden wedding, and I wanted a keepsake topper that wasn't too trendy, so we went with this one. Neutral, but it fits us, the theme of our wedding, and the theme of our decor at home.

I chose this cake topper and after the wedding I think I will cut the bottom off and glue the top to a wreath for our front door

We are just doing a giant gum paste flower.

Our ring bearer is our goat. And together we have 5 children. SO there will be 5 babies.

I'm going without a cake topper. Mostly because I don't like any that I've seen.

We are not doing a cake topper as the cake itself is going to be white with pressed dried flowers all over it and I don’t want a topper to take away from the beauty of the cake

We are most likely not doing a cake topper either. It really depends on you.

A cake topper doesn't need to be something fancy- maybe try search words like cake "centrepiece" instead of cake topper if you want something more subtle or less traditional.

My parents' cake topper was sugar flowers, and they still have them on display in the silver cabinet 25 years later... your idea of monogram or mountain cake toppers is really nice because it can easily be put into a scrapbook, repurposed for a Christmas tree decoration, put in a frame etc.-- it can be nice to have a little something that lasts, even if you're not sold on having a flashy decoration.

No cake topper for us. We just wanted flowers

You can use whatever you want- it's a fun way to reflect you and your FH as a couple. We're not using much, just a monogram.

Still deciding myself as to which one to use for my wedding cake.
