Did you announce your engagement on social media?

Yup! I waited till later that night, because we were in the middle of our house warming when he proposed, so I waited till everyone left. FH changed his status right away! But my mom and sister beat me to it also!

We got engaged while on holiday in Paris. we decided not to tell anyone, not even our parents, till we got home a week later. that evening H had planned a super special dinner at a fancy amazing restaurant for us, and we were so tipsy and full of love that we went back to our hotel and called our parents and brothers and i texted some of my best friends. a day or two later we posted it as a Life Event on fb, no pics though. we just couldn't contain ourselves.

My FH announced it a few hours after he popped the question.

We waited weeks after we told our family and close friends to share a video on Facebook then shared the wedding date on Instagram last month.

We never did!! Too many questions, too many people would be msg'ing me to ask when and where. Too many people offering "advice."

He proposed in the morning and we had a few hours to ourselves before we called our families and told them, then we told our closest friends, and that evening after all the families were in the know, we put it on social media. When my brother and is (now ex) fiancé got engaged she put it up on social media before they called anyone and my grandparents were very hurt by that. I wanted to avoid the same thing. But I did not take a picture with my ring in it, just because we felt that that could distract from our news. I've seen lots of comments about the ring and I just feel like it loses focus. I was more than happy to show it to those who asked though.

I sure did!!! We waited for a day to make sure we had personally shared the news with all of our immediate family members, but then I posted my #JustSaidYes pic!
