We changed our relationship status to engaged later that day after all calls had been made.

We called immediate family that night, and then let them tell anyone else they wanted to. We didn't post anything extra on social media, just changed our relationship status 2 days later.

I didn’t but my FH did. He probably posted it within a half hour of us getting engaged. I wanted to personally tell some of my friends first but he posted it without telling me. So there were quite a few incoming texts and called after that.

Yep. I wanted to call everyone we are close to first even though it was 10pm at night, but my FH was already posting to social media before I had managed to quickly contact two to three people. 😂 I loved how excited he was to share it with the world. I think it actually took him a week or so to finally call his parents. 😂

I posted on instagram the next day (after calling close family and friends). I went with a picture of both of us where you can see the ring from far away (as opposed to a hand shot with just the ring).

Almost my entire family was present for the proposal since it was my birthday and Christmas Eve, but we called all the extended family and FaceTimed FHs family to share the happy news. Then we took to social media.

My parents were anxiously waiting for the phone call, I called them right after. As soon as i hung up the phone FH was changing his relationship status on FB. I made him wait until I called my sister. I wish he would have waited until the next morning, but it's cute he was so excited!

We got engaged Christmas Eve eve, so we called our families and close friends that night. We went to church the next morning, and people noticed the ring, so after that we changes our status to engaged on FB figuring that the Greek Gossip Network being what it is, most of our friends and extended family already knew (we were right!).

I waited a little over two weeks so that I could enjoy telling all of those close to me in person. It was fun going to dinner with friends and seeing how long it took for people to notice my ring! I also didn’t want certain people to get upset about finding out on Facebook (which still happened). It’s fun to share good news with the world, however, it was also fun to keep the joy to ourselves for a bit.

Yes! We shared it after we had made calls and texts to our families and bffs.
I posted the single picture as a “life event” on FB so every year it will pop up for me to remember that day! And the other one was for a status update. We both posted it, but with different captions. We aren’t super active on social media but we do like to share life events for people who we like and love but maybe aren’t in contact with as much as we’d like.

We notified our parents and siblings first. Our best friends were apart of making it happen so they already knew. Then he posted on FB the news Smiley smile I think it was like 2ish weeks before we put it on FB.

We kept the engagement day to ourselves. We were away for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and fh proposed while we were picnicking on a cliffside, whale-watching in San Juan. Definitely a date I'll never forget!!
We told our parents and best friends the next day while we were having breakfast in a seaside cafe and after they all responded, we posted to social media (Facebook and instagram) on the ferry ride home.

I feel most of them were expecting it, to be honest.

Yes we did but we waited until all Important Family members and VIPs had been called or texted and personally informed of the news. We didn't not think it was appropriate to let certain friends and family find out via social media announcement.
