Did I make a wedding guest dress faux pas?

I am attending a friend's wedding this weekend and picked out a dress that I could also wear on our honeymoon later this year. I tried a million dresses on and picked the only one that I loved. I know it is taboo to wear white to a wedding, but I'm not sure if this particular dress would be inappropriate. It has a lot of other colors in it too. What do you ladies think? Is this "too white" to wear to a wedding. I don't want to be inappropriate. Thanks!

I wouldn't wear it. I think the tie-dye type of design is a bit inappropriate, it kind of looks like you spilled red wine down the front of the dress.

Wear it. I can't believe anyone would find this inappropriate. I hate this whole no white to a wedding anyway - and this isn't even white. There is nothing remotely bridal about this dress.

Wear it and if the bride were to be pissed off that is her problem not yours.

I think it's fine for a wedding but to add some snark: I don't really like it. Lol

It's a gorgeous dress, but doesn't look anything like a wedding gown to me, so I think you're totally fine!!

I wouldn't wear it but I always choose not to wear any sort of white to any wedding, even if it has color in it. There are so many other colors to wear.

That dress would be ideal for a guest to wear to my wedding (afternoon, outdoor ceremony...) and I wouldn't give a crap that there's cream in it. Of course, I wouldn't give a crap if it was all white. But that's me.

Some people are freaking crazy. This is not even remotely a faux-pas.

It is a very cute dress, but I would not wear it to someone's wedding. My personal philosophy in situations like this is, "when in doubt, don't." I agree that there are quite a few colors in the dress, but the base of it is cream and to me that is a no-go. Do you have any alternative dresses? Besides, wearing it for the first time to your wedding festivities will make it all the more special :-)
