Did any of you wear shoes / converse on your wedding day?

Margel & Jake, on May 13, 2020 at 10:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

Hi guys,

I don't usually wear heels because I suck at wearing them. Smiley smile I am thinking of wearing a converse on my wedding just so I dont have to struggle on my wedding day.

Did any of you decid not to wear heels? What does it feel like? What kind of shoes did you wear?

Thank you!

I wore converses for the ceremony, reception and after party. My husband wore converses for the reception and after party. I decided to wear converses because they are my favorite shoes and I wanted something I would be comfortable in. My husband decided to wear them to match me. Our wedding was the only time he has ever wore them.

My decorator wrote bride on one side and our wedding date on the other. She also put gemstones on the front. I included photos.

I didn't wear converse, but I also didnt wear heels. I hate heels. I got married in the summer, so I wore flat sandals. I was comfortable all day except for the very end, but that was more so from just being on my feet all day than the shoes.

My FW and I are buying custom made Vans as a way to honor my sister who passed right after Christmas. It was the last gift I gave her so we thought it would be a good way to honor her 💜

Daughter had a fairly formal country club-type wedding and wore Converse under her full-skirted a-line dress. They are her go-to shoes whenever possible, so she just decided above all else she wanted to be comfortable for the wedding. She bought hers in the primary wedding color and we took them to a local t-shirt shop and had them customized with her new name and wedding date. They were adorable, and completely HER! Except when she lifted her skirt to walk down stairs, no one could see them. A year and a half later, they are still her favorite shoes and she wears them often. She had them on for nearly 12-hours the day of the wedding and walked all over the venue, up and down stairs multiple times, and danced like a crazy woman for close to 4 hours -- no blisters, no sore feet, just happiness. They were the PERFECT shoes for her. Good luck! Smiley heart

I've decided to do flats for my wedding because my ceremony is on grass and I want to be able to dance at my reception. I found a pair on amazon that are a really pretty sky blue (they're my something blue)

I will be wearing black converse for my Halloween wedding! I'm decent in heels but I want to be comfortable all night, the wedding is outside with lots of cobblestone and grass (and I'm a klutz), and I want to show my personality.

I've been worrying about this! Our wedding is at a mansion with a beautiful pergola overlooking a river in the back, but there is a very large staircase from the back porch down to the grass because of the slope that leads to the river. I'm okay in heels on flat surfaces, but I trip on stairs when I'm barefoot, let alone in heels. I'm glad to see other people are wearing flats/converse and it's not a big deal!!
