Destination Weddings

I suggest you look for wedding packages in the area you are looking at. We are having a DW in Hawaii and got a great wedding package which includes an officiant, musician, photographer and videographer.

Not an official wedding planner.

The officiant who owns the "wedding package" business basically told me where to get my marriage license, gave me recommendations for florists, and we talked about locations and times. Aside from that, we've planned it ourselves. I booked a Luau for the night before as our "rehearsal dinner" and then booked a restaurant room for our "reception dinner" for the day of. I reached out to the florists and chose one, reached out to a salon for a hair stylist. It's so much better because I don't have to deal with a lot of the drama with a bigger wedding, but it's also a lot of trust I'm putting on people/vendors I've never met that I need for the big day.

I agree with finding a wedding package. Any big tourist spot in the US most likely will have a package. Your location depends on what you like. Some people want mountains in the backdrop while others want an ocean. The opportunities are pretty endless! The only thing I like to remind people of is travel. Some elderly guests may not be able to fly due to health problems. So the mainland is always a safer bet, but overseas is always pretty great!

We are having a destination wedding in Key West next month. We have a wedding planner through our venue. Our wedding is at the Sheraton, and the planner is Say Yes In Key West. There was actually a lot of options when we were looking. We chose there because we figured it would be easier for our guests to get to, and they wouldn’t have to worry about any additional travel concerns going internationally. So far it’s all been pretty easy.

First thing is first, hire a travel destination coordinator! It has saved MY LIFE when planning my destination wedding. We will probably only have about 30 guests total and getting married at Unico 20 87 in Mexico

If you’re looking into Cancun look at Sandos Caracol Eco resort. They have good all inclusive packages. We thought about having our wedding there and even went to see it. It’s is beautiful and family friendly. Our families decided they didn’t want to travel so we’re now booked for the Keyes!
