Hello! I am having an intimate destination wedding in three months, less than 20 people including us. My MOH and MOB keep asking my about my wedding shower, I find it odd and a little uncomfortable to ask all of these people to come to my wedding shower who will not be invited to my wedding and just having an intimate gathering with those who are attending the wedding and a few great aunts who have tremendously helped in planning my wedding. Are any other brides who are having a destination wedding have the same dilemma?

I agree, if I were invited to a bridal shower, I would expect to be invited to the wedding.

You could have a small shower once at the destination, the day before. That way it would be with those attending the wedding.

My mom wanted to host a bridal shower for me back home and invite a bunch of people who arent invited to the wedding. Our guests spanned from AZ to NJ so not too many were local to OH. I politely declined and told her I didn't want to be rude and invite folks not coming to the wedding.

As PPs said, you're right for not feeling comfortable with a shower. Kudos to you for being a master at etiquette!
