I would recommend some type of wedding package. They generally help give you some type of starting point. Package deals sometimes have a hefty list of vendors that work with the company too. This allows you to set a vision and still choose people with quality work. Also, have a good vendor list can go a long way. All my vendors that were recommended by my venue were ridiculously responsive. Half the time, getting a vendor to respond to an email sounds like a nightmare for some brides to be.

I agree with the suggestion to work with a travel agent – they have likely done tons of these before! They can steer you in the right direction in terms of which resort to choose. I would definitely suggest choosing an all-inclusive wedding package at a resort. You can give them a general vision of what you want, and let them take care of everything for you. Much less stressful than trying to plan it yourself from another country!
