Destination wedding locations and time frame

Hello!

We just got engaged! Like 2 weeks ago and we are looking to hold a destination in Feb/March/April of next year. How far in advance did you book your destination wedding? Every place is taking so long to get back to me (like 3-5 days, but I am impatient, clearly ha!) We are hoping for Mexico or Costa Rica but all the places I have reached out to seem booked already, and we are open to week day wedding.

How far out did yall have to find a location?

Do you have recommendations on beach with a cliff/mountain/jungle scape?

    This year and next year are extremely busy for weddings due to push backs and reschedules post COVID. Generally, a venue is booked about a year out, but given the high volume of weddings, even a year out will mean that you're looking at reduced options. Also, it seems like you're aiming to plan during peak tourist season for those areas (december-april) so you will need even more time to book if it's at a popular resort.

    We had to book our destination venue 2 years out- and that was pre-Covid!

    This is definitely what I am seeing and have heard. We don't want to wait that long! Hopefully we find a gem - cross your fingers!

    We booked our wedding a year out. Some of our vendors have been posting online that they’re already booking up 2023 and 2024 already

    I'm January 30, 2023 in Puerto Rico and we book ours right at the beginning of February as the venue we wanted was already fairly booked up. I would get on that NOW if you're wanting to get a venue for February or March...
