Destination Wedding Jitters

I went to Cabo last November with just one other girl friend and had a great time! Stay in the touristy areas/resorts and you should be okay. Of course don't put yourself in compromising positions, but I really think you'll be fine. You're going to have a blast!

My FW just went to Cabo last fall with a bunch of friends and had a great time. They only go out as a group when they travel and stick to resort organized excursions. I think you and your guests will be fine, especially if you take a couple of simple precautions.

In terms of overall crime, it's not bad, although there are the usual warnings about pickpockets and the like common to tourist cities. In terms of harassment of women, Mexico tends to be relatively bad compared to the US (and date rape is typically not even treated as a crime). However, the harassment tends to go away entirely if you have a child with you--or if they think you do. My sister, who lives in Mexico, advises women to wrap a doll up in a shawl and tie it around you. That's how people carry real babies, and men tend to leave you alone if you do it.
