Destination wedding gift bags

Our wedding is in Jamaica and need some advice about gift bags: would it be tacky to give out the bags before the wedding. Im worried about traveling with all the extra stuff and having to put it together at the resort. So I was thinking of personally delivering the bags to our guest the week before we leave.

What are you thinking about putting in the gift bags?

If it’s like a hotel welcome bag with waters and snacks and a few little treats, I’d skip them altogether if you don’t want to put them together there. Probably same for favors actually. This really depends on what goes in the gift bag but for the most part, it’s all just unnecessary extras, so it’s okay to skip. The idea of pre-sending something seems like a lot of effort, so I’d only consider it if there was something very special you wanted to send out.

That's a really good point Mcskipper!! It kind of depends on what's in the gift bag!
On the other hand, I could also see how getting the gift bag delivered early could help build excitement for the wedding! 💖
You could also try to pre-package them as much as possible to make it easier to travel with & assemble the gift bags in Jamaica! You could put the contents of each gift bag in ziplocs so all you have to do is dump them into the nice bag at your destination!!
