destination wedding cancun mexico

I'm doing a DW in a small town in central Mexico. It's quite different from Cancún because there are no big resorts, no "all inclusive" wedding packages, and few foreigners getting married there, so I'm doing a lot of the legwork myself.

A few weeks back somebody posted a huge spreadsheet of all the hotels she had contacted in Cancún and the Riviera Maya with info about price, amenities, etc. Wish I could remember who that was.

I just got back from our wedding in Antigua. We went through Sandals and all i can say is they were AMAZING. The wedding coordinators at the resort made my day so stress free, the day of there was no anxiety, no stress, We had a blast. I wouldn't change a thing. We had a few calls with a wedding coordinator from Sandals a few months leading up to our travel date to choose some options that we would want. We didn't pick the location until we got to the resort, Sandals took care of everything, drove us into town to get our license, we picked the wedding cake flavors and final options once we were there. I am sure other top notch resorts do the same type of thing/services. Good Luck!

We our doing a destination wedding in Cancun! We went with the resort Secrets the Vine Cancun, it is an all inclusive resort where you get an on site wedding planner. It has been wonderful! I like having the wedding coordinator because it is much easier especially because we are having a wedding back home as well so it has been nice to have someone doing most of the work for that wedding, haha. The package includes pretty much everything you think of and they are incrediably helpful, you can also add things to the package depending on the sIze of the wedding. Good luck!

There are a lot of resorts that will accommodate weddings in Cancun. I guess depending on what you want and how much you want to spend will vary your search. In Cancun you won't get as much privacy and it will cost more than some of the other places in the Rivera.

Occidental Grand Xcaret has a fantastic cliff side that is very private and their prices are hard to beat. Another popular resort for weddings is NOW Jade and NOW Emerald. Although they specialize in weddings so it won't be nearly as private and you will run into other brides on the day of your wedding. P.S. Some resorts will offer you a free stay to see the grounds.

The best resort in Cancun for weddings is Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort. There were 4 weddings there during my stay and it's an all inclusive resort which saves you money on food and drinks etc.
