This is my dress also! My first alterations appointment is August 16th, I'm not using David's Bridal, I'm using a private person. I googled bustles with this dress and I think I'm going to do it somewhat like this picture.

Please let me know how much your alterations are I'm concerned about mine budget wise.

@April do you know what DB would charge to replace a zipper with a corset back?

I got my dress at DB, it is a ballgown but they said about 150 to bustle it. I would get the bustle, the last thing you want is coming stepping all over your gown all night. Or worse ripping it!

My dress too! I am getting cups cuz I'm 36DD and a bustle. My first fitting is August 27

I went to DB this evening, cups are $20 and she said the bustle (I showed her the picture KS shared and she said it could be around $150. Now i'm not sure if I should just keep the appointment I scheduled to see if that will be the actual price or looks elsewhere for pricing. The dress was over budget for me and I didn't think I would need alterations at all which is why I went over budget ugh

I would honestly look into a seamstress other than DB, I've heard they're way overpriced but I'll let you know on August 16th when I have my first appointment and let you know the price I get.

Yeah i'm either gonna look someplace else or find a way to do it myself LMAO
