How long did you and your partner date before being engaged? My husband and I dated for exactly 3 years before he proposed. We made it official 10.06.16, he proposed 10.06.19, and we got married 10.06.20
My fiance and I dated in High School for 1.5 years and broke it off. We didn't talk for over seven years after that. I saw him again when I flew home to visit family over Christmas as we went to the same church as kids. We started talking again and made it official three months later. He moved in with me seven months after that and proposed 8 months after moving in. I knew I was marrying him before there was even talk of him moving 17 hours form home to be with me in Florida. We just needed time to find ourselves.
My Fiance and I have been together for 8 year this next month, and bought our first house 2 1/2 year ago.Looks like we will be getting married around our 10 year anniversary. We both knew from the beginning that we would be together forever and never had a rush to get married, and look forward to a long engagement
We knew each other from work for about a year before we started dating and got very serious right away. A month before our 1st anniversary we moved out of state together and it was really healthy for us. We got engaged after a year and a half of dating and will get married a year and a half after getting engaged.
A little over 5 years! By the time he proposed we had already lived together for 3 years, bought a house together, got a cat, and then a puppy. We knew we wanted to get married for quite a while, but we wanted to have the big stuff done and paid for before spending anything on an engagement ring and a wedding.
Not long. Started dating March of 2019. Engaged December 2021 and micro wedding July 2021 with renewal of vows and reception same day in July 2022. My father had advanced bone cancer and died on 6/13/21 so we were trying to have him give me away virtually hoping he would be able to for July. We are an older couple and each have been married before so we decided life is short and to still get married this past weekend and it gives us a year to grieve and then have a traditional ceremony and reception next year with everyone who is close to us.
