Cricut Wedding Projects

Josi, on December 1, 2021 at 8:42 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 3 13
I am strongly considering buying the new cricut for wedding (and other) projects.

I am planning on using it for acrylic escort cards, foiling invitations, personalized gifts, and signage.
Would you recommend getting a cricut? What wedding projects have you done with yours?

If you LOVE arts and crafts then yes. My friend uses it ALL the time. And since she has one her family always goes to her for personalization on cups, and almost everything lol. So, it's definitely helpful! Just keep in mind that you'll just have to invest in on the materials and if you don't mind that and doing the work then by all means go for it Smiley smile

Definitely loved making cricut projects! I made so many adorable things for my bridesmaids, myself, for batch party, and bridal shower and wedding decor!

So fun! Those all look great! I’m taking my first attempt with it tonight.

I’m hoping I’m able to make something like this eventually and I also want to try foiling with it! Cricut Wedding Projects 6

My mother has one, and I'm just diving in on all of the ways I might be able to use it! I'm proudest of figuring out how to address envelopes with the writing mode. I bought my envelopes prior to getting everyone's address and couldn't have the site I bought them through address them for me. I'd been racking my brain to figure out how to make them pretty, and this popped up on my YouTube. Definitely look there for DIY Cricut inspo!

Welcome to the Cricut family! I have a Maker and love it but there can be a bit of a learning curve. There are some great blogs and YouTube channels with good tips and tricks. I recently splurged on the mug press too and oh my word I looooooove it. Happy crafting and happy planning!

Is this something you will use regularly after the wedding as a side business? If not, either see if you can borrow one or have someone on Etsy do the custom work for you. Many who have purchased have mentioned in various posts that it takes time/money/labor/patience to figure out how to use the machines which negates the idea of saving money because your time/money/patience is never factored into the final cost of labor. That is what makes DIY more expensive. But if you are certain you will get a ton of use beyond the wedding, then go for it.
